Hourly to Salary Calculator

Convert an hourly rate into weekly, monthly and annual pay based on your hours per week and weeks per year.

Your calculations stay in your browser — nothing you type here is sent to any server.

How this calculator works

  1. Enter your hourly rate.
  2. Set how many hours you work per week (40 is the default full-time standard).
  3. Set how many weeks per year you actually work — 52 assumes no unpaid time off.
  4. The calculator multiplies through to show weekly, monthly and annual pay.

Job offers and postings quote pay in different ways — some hourly, some as an annual salary. This calculator converts an hourly rate into weekly, monthly and annual figures so you can compare offers on equal footing. It also works in reverse conceptually: since the math is symmetric, you can sanity-check an annual salary offer by seeing what hourly rate it implies.

Example

At $25/hour, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year: $25 × 40 = $1,000/week, $1,000 × 52 ÷ 12 ≈ $4,333/month, and $1,000 × 52 = $52,000/year.

Limitations

This is gross pay only — before taxes and deductions. If you take unpaid time off, reduce “weeks per year” accordingly (e.g., 50 weeks for two unpaid weeks off) for a more realistic annual figure.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert hourly pay to salary?

Multiply your hourly rate by hours worked per week, then by weeks worked per year. This calculator does that instantly and also breaks out weekly and monthly figures.

What if I don't work 40 hours a week?

Change the “hours per week” field — the calculator recalculates every figure immediately.

Does this include overtime?

No — this converts a flat hourly rate. Use the Overtime Calculator if some of your hours are paid at a higher overtime rate.

Why would my annual pay differ from 52 weeks × my weekly rate?

If you take unpaid leave, reduce the “weeks per year” input. Paid time off doesn't need an adjustment since you're still paid for those weeks.
