This calculator estimates the fuel cost of a trip from three simple inputs: distance, your vehicle's miles per gallon, and the current price of gas. Toggle round trip to double the distance for a there-and-back estimate.
Example
A 240-mile round trip (120 miles each way) in a car that gets 30 MPG, with gas at $3.50/gallon: gallons needed = 240 ÷ 30 = 8. Fuel cost = 8 × $3.50 = $28.
Limitations
